Kiosk clock-in and timesheets that close

A shared tablet by the door for clocking in, guests, and parcels; timesheets people submit and managers sign off; and a history on every leave request so the story lives in the product, not in chat.

  • Kiosk: a shared tablet at the entrance. People clock in with a card or a rotating badge, including when the connection drops - punches keep the time they stood at the tablet.
  • Visitor check-in and delivery logging on the same kiosk, so reception knows who is on site and who received a parcel.
  • Timesheet approvals: submit a week or a month, lock the hours, and let a manager approve or send it back with a reason. Submitted sheets land in Inbox; admins can close time through a date when payroll needs the books still.
  • My day: log and edit a single date, with the same work items as the week grid, so a correction does not mean hunting through a whole week.
  • Leave request history: every edit, decision, cover change, and cancellation on a request, visible to the people who already see the request.
  • A workspace switch for whether someone can approve their own leave. Self-decisions always need a written reason and are recorded in the audit log.

  • Slack connect is one consent for identity and out-of-office status, so approved leave can update Slack without a second install step.
  • Every project starts with a General-time bucket, so people can log hours before anyone has named the tasks.

  • Navigation regrouped around the work - Leave, Attendance, Time, People, Processes, Health - with account, help and app connections tucked into the account menu.
  • Loading finally matches the wait. Pages keep what is already on screen while they refresh, filters and sorts no longer blank the list, buttons show their own progress, and skeletons only appear when a page genuinely has nothing to show yet.
  • Charts match the question: composition of a total is a semi-donut, a short period is compact bars, ranked categories are horizontal bars, people across days stay a matrix, and operational lists stay lists.
  • Finishing work feels finished - clearing your Inbox, completing setup, and closing out a decision now get a short, quiet confirmation instead of silence.
  • Dates, times and numbers follow your chosen language everywhere, and the interface is fully wired for translation with Polish continuing to roll out.
  • Faster first load and lighter pages, with translation bundles split so you only download the language and screens you use.

  • SquadBear has been rebuilt from the ground up. Every page now follows one anatomy - title and a single primary action, an optional summary, one filter strip, then the content - so a screen you have never opened still feels familiar.
